Our annual tournament has grown from its humble beginnings in 2005 when a group of mates decided to enter what was to be the final Furuno tournament at Kawau Island.

In the years since we have grown our entry list of keen, enthusiastic anglers on a wide variety of fishing vessels.  Ranging from our "Flagship" Dufresne, to somewhat smaller craft.  Fishing is of course a great leveller, any boat on its day can win.

We are an "Invitation Only" tournament, whereby Teams may only enter upon invitation from either the Tournament Host - Brent Ivil, Tournament Treasurer - Andrew Murley, or by recommendation from a current Team to the aforementioned officials.  Any such recommended Teams must be approved by the officials before their entry can be accepted.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.

Why Have We Created This?

Of course it is for the pursuit of piscatorial perfection!  Spending a dedicated day on the water searching for the inner peace that can only be found on the Ocean Waves.

Yeah Right! What better a thing to do, than to leave the troubles of home to enjoy a relaxed fishing weekend with other like minded individuals!
